Hi Arjan, what a brilliant question! I think the inclusion of basic psychology knowledge would definitely be fantastic for primary school children. Primary school years coincide with the time children learn a lot about social rules, different emotions, the importance of understanding and accepting themselves and others, being part of a social community, understanding and respecting others’ preferences, likes, and dislikes among many other skills. I think primary school teachers already do a lot to equip children with these skills, but if there was an emphasis on focusing on these skills in the curriculum more openly, it would be amazing! What a great idea!
